WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Athol Red Raiders (8-7-3) didn’t go without a fight, but the Mount Greylock girls soccer team on Monday came out on top, 3-2, thanks to Kelsey Orpin’s goal midway through the first overtime, to advance in the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — There is the usual pre-game buzz that comes with any competition, but by the last game of the season the players and parents always talk a bit louder and giggle a bit harder in the minutes leading up to the game. The Mount Greylock varsity girls soccer team’s 6-1 win over Taconic on Monday evening was no exception.
